"These are some of the paintings I have made over the last forty years of working in the studio. I look back now and see them with a strangers eye. More pleased looking at them now than when I first painted them, when I was never satisfied and was always searching for something, I don't quite know what. I'm not sure if I have ever found it but looking back now on some of the early works, I find they give me more pleasure now."
