Without a map

Making art is a life long journey, a life long search, for an answer to an unknown question. There are promises, and there are pitfalls, but best of all there are some days that are wonderfully surprising. Sometimes you turn a corner and find the unexpected, days when out of nowhere, you find an image that did not ever exist before, but which now has its own place in the world.

Those are the days that make me smile.
